MEDITATION

Meditation is bringing your awareness inward. By learning how to quiet the mind and relax the body you become more aware of the person you really are, and this allows you to be able to experience peace, tranquility and enlightenment. Primitive societies may have been the first to practice a form of meditation by staring into the flames of their campfires over 5000 years ago.  With longevity of over 5000 years it is safe to say Meditation Works.  It is easy to learn and with practice you can experience profound positive changes in your life.

Q.  Why take a meditation class?

A.  By having a teacher lead you through meditation you will be able to learn techniques and acquire tools that you will be able to use as you practice meditation on your own.  There is also a different energy that comes from each person in a group, giving you a new experience every time you meditate in a group setting. In a class you also can experience different forms of meditation.  Our meditation classes are a blend of Eastern and Western techniques.

Q. Who should take a meditation class?

A.  Everyone!  We each go through the meditation process differently, but everyone gets something out of meditating, even if it is just letting yourself escape from your hectic life and recharge your batteries for a few minutes each day.   

Q.  I have a busy mind, will I still be able to meditate?

A. Our minds were set up to think.  When you learn to meditate you will be able to let your thoughts come and go like the ebb and flow of the tide, without giving any importance to the thought. 

Q.  What can meditation do for me?

A.  Since we all experience meditation in our own unique way, so will we experience the benefits. There are many studies on the positive effects of meditation.

This program is no longer a 4 part series it is now an ongoing monthly program.
